Get ready for an information and action-packed workshop
Presented by MDW Instructors, Mark Human and Clint Oosthuizen, both with a wealth of martial training and real-world experience facing and countering edged weapon threats.
The MDW Knife Proof Programs and Workshops are focused on providing law-abiding citizens with the tools to recognise, avoid and if necessary, physically counter criminal edged weapon attacks.
What we will cover:
- MINDSET: Developing a responsible survival mindset to recognise, understand, avoid and deal with criminal attacks in public scenarios.
- UNDERSTAND: Gain an understanding of how criminals think about and utilise edged weapons for criminal purposes. You are guided through a process of effective decision-making when confronted with these challenging scenarios.
- ACTION: You will learn how to recognise and respond to different types of edged weapon attacks, including utilising empty hand and the use of improvised items to counter edged weapon threats and counters.
- INTEGRATE: The mindset and skill set from the MDW Knife Proof Programs were developed to be easily integrated and or added to your existing self-defense framework, whether you are a total beginner, an experienced martial artist or have law enforcement/security training.
Who can attend
Right of admission is reserved – MDW Trainers on empowering law-abiding citizens with a responsible warrior mindset. Any minors under 17 will be required to be accompanied by an adult or have written permission from their parents, and if part of a martial arts club, permission from their instructor to attend.
